Good morning -
As a woman of color and a lifelong democrat, Bitcoin provides me with hope:
(1) It provides a level of fairness to retail investors (e.g. the existing system has high net worth requirements to get access to pre-IPO opportunities, etc.). With Bitcoin, it's the same rules for everyone.
(2) There's a growing body of evidence that bitcoin mining uses a higher mix of sustainable energy than any major country or industry, and can even stabilize the grid during peak needs (e.g. recent storm in Texas).
(3) There is a higher percentage of African American and Latino Americans that hold Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as compared to White Americans according to a recent Harris Poll.
This morning I read that Fidelity just launched a Bitcoin ETF in Europe.
It troubles me that Americans - particularly minorities such as myself and my family - are struggling with inflation, and yet we don't have these same opportunities that other countries have.
Please approve this ETF.
