Any move to release closed end funds from being held accountable to their shareholders is an outrageous abouse of power. CEF directors and officers are money managers for their shareholders and the idea that they should not be accountable or rewarded for their actions is against every concept of fiduciary responsibility. Like every corporate director, they need to stand for election periodically and, if necessary, to face opposition from their investors.
