The proposal to eliminate annual meeting requirements and thus voting for board or activism initiatives is deeply concerning to the individual investor community, the people who rely on these instruments for dividends and retirement. ETFs are not a replacement for Closed End Funds and the idea to strip away voting rights for individual investors is anti free-market and sinister. Please re-consider this movement and recognize it for what it is...financial companies resisting activism and the wishes of individuals to further un-level an already distorted playing field.
