Shareholders possibilities of holding directors accountable would be dramatically limited without annual meetings. CEF discounts to NAV would be expected to increase while fees charged by management will continue based upon NAV. Annual meetings at least provide an opportunity for sharehoders to persuade management to align themselves with shareholders, not just fees in mind.
