I am a shareholder in several closed end funds (CEFs) and I fail to see how this proposal benefits shareholders of CEFs in any way. This proposal would appear benefit the managers and sponsors of CEF's without any corresponding benefits to shareholders. If the SEC wants to pass a rule to benefit shareholder's, then require the sponsors of CEFs to appoint board members who own a minimum # of shares of stock in the CEFs they oversee.
