I think it would be a tragic mistake to allow Closed End Funds the ability to not hold annual meetings, and can't believe the NYSE would even think about it. Without a shareholder vote on directors and other important decisions, CEF's would turn into a nightmare web of investing, with no shareholder protection at all.
