Dear Valued Public Servant,
I urge the SEC to NOT allow the NYSE to list “Natural Asset Companies”!
NAC’s are not only a “new type of company” but also have employed their own type of accounting system
NAC’s seek to use other’s money including that obtained via the capital markets, to buy the ability to control or “manage” productive public and private land and other natural resources. Their stated purpose is to protect, conserve, restore and preserve these natural “assets” based on whatever their own definitions of those activities are. Hmmm—use public money to gain complete control while destroying privately owned businesses and farms, access to critical minerals, water, and food. This would open the door for “investment” by foreign governments and their sovereign wealth funds giving them de facto control over America’s resources—even pension funds!
We rely on the SEC to make certain to make certain the our markets are free and fair for everyone and have the interests of all investors at heart. NAC’s with their own money systems and rules would make the SEC a moot point and certainly destroy my standard of living.
Do not allow Natural Asset Companies to access capital through the New York Stock Exchange!
Thank you for doing what is right for Americans!
