As an America citizen, I want to voice my strong opposition to the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) desire to create Natural Asset Companies (NACs) (SR-NYSE-2023-09) involving America’s public lands, which are exclusively owned and for the benefit of the American people. No bureaucratic government agency, like the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), nor a private institution, like the NYSE, has the authority to take America’s public lands nor the benefits from them, from the American people. This monetary landgrab must be stopped immediately. Wall Street and elite bureaucrats and politicians must not be allowed to take what belongs to the American people thus benefiting greatly from their self-serving, anti-American people dealings. The rights and ownership of America’s public lands must be controlled by American citizens. Those lands are for the use and benefit of those citizens. Endeavors like hiking, camping, recreation, farming, ranching, mining, oil and gas drilling, 4 wheeling, cycling, hunting, and fishing, which benefit all Americans, are the primary purpose of public lands, especially Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered public lands. They are not there for bureaucratic government agencies nor private sector institutions to use for their own monetary and control purposes. Saying that American citizens will benefit from such an endeavor is a falsehood, with only certain direct actions maybe being of any insignificant benefit. The SEC submitting this proposal for comment for only 21 days through the 2023 Christmas holidays, prior to its extension, indicates much. This proposal’s comment period is an extreme example of government bureaucratic and monetary manipulation. It is obvious what was desired and it was not the well being of the American people. This radical environmental and monetary action is far outside the bounds of the U.S. Constitution. Such a proposal is definitely not in the control of a government agency and even Congress should be limited from such impactful legislation. The American people need to be the only authorization for such a drastic change and they should be completely against such a fraudulent landgrab. This proposal needs to be stopped immediately. NACs should not be authorized. America’s public lands are owned by the United States citizens and they are there for their use and benefit. No government agency has the power to change that. This action should be halted immediately.
