To whom it may concern,

I am writing as a concerned citizen to ask that the SEC does NOT approve the proposed rule by the NYSE to create Natural Asset Companies (NAC).

As written, this proposed rule would not only put a death nail in private property rights but would also kill jobs, economic development and investment, very likely relinquish U.S. national sovereignty by putting the control of large swaths of land under the control of foreign governments such as China, Iran, or Russia, and destroy the ability of sportsmen to hunt and fish on both public and private lands.

The potential unforeseen and unintended consequences of the approval of this rule are enormous! E.g. a natural asset company owned either in whole or in part by China gains control of the natural assets covering Ward County, North Dakota. Ward County contains Minot Air Force Base and part of the U.S. nuclear force. China now has control of any and all activity on and around Minot Air Force Base which in any way effects the environment.

Aside from the economic, sovereignty, and moral issues that approval of such a rule would entail, it would also invite years of litigation from legal challenges brought by individuals, companies, municipalities, and states along with the associated cost to individuals and tax payers.

Thank you for your time and I humbly ask that the SEC does not approve the formation of Natural Asset Companies!

Sincerely,
