Thank you for this opportunity to provide public comment to Adopt Listing Standards for Natural Asset Companies. I live in Nebraska, in which land is heavily owned by private individuals or corporations in the agriculture industry. We do not have a substantial tourism industry, and job growth predictions are modest, with job numbers rising less than 1% in each of the next three years. Nebraska is one of the most heavily taxed states in terms of property tax burden on individual homeowners. The majority of property taxes go toward public education. Bringing a NAC to rural and smaller urban communities that already struggle to fund state coffers and attract companies and resources to grow our state would be disastrous. NACs apparently do not create jobs or shareholder wealth; therefore, I am wondering why the SEC would promote such a concept as in the interest of the investing public. I am strongly opposed to the creation of NACS. Post COVID, America is attempting to rebuild itself in the face of unprecedented fraud and economic upheaval. Please do not add to the burden of the American people through the creation of shell companies such as NACs which do not serve a purpose in our free society.
