Dear Vanessa Countryman, I live in western Colorado near Utah. We have vast amounts of public land and my husband and I recreate there on a regular basis. At this point I do not support the creation of Natural Asset Companies (NAC's). The language is vague, and the concept is not well explained. Can a foriegn government "invest"? Can the NAC change the historical use of the land? How does this "investment" return a dividend? How is this beneficial to the general public? If public lands managed by the federal government of the United States were controlled by private interests, my interest in accessing and enjoying public lands could be adversely affected.
