What I have read and heard about Natural Asset Companies sounds like a new form of "eminent domain," but for the purpose of enriching Wall Street investors. There are no better caretakers of the land than private land holders, and owning personal property is a much better incentive to protect that property than having anonymous stockholders in charge of acreage. Here in Alaska, I have seen what happens when distant corporations "own" the land - they clear-cut the forest. Please stop the movement toward NACs.
