As a United States citizen from birth, I strongly object to this new rule. While it is being presented as a mechanism for valuing and protecting our country's natural resources, I believe it places too much power in the hands of two few people. It also invites the immeasurable influence from foreign investors over the United States. I believe that this power can and will be abused.
