I oppose the consideration of creating Natural Asset Companies because they pose a threat to our national security and rights of everyday citizens. There is already a threat from foreign ownership of farmland and agriculture real estate, which are vital to our national food supply. When our natural resources are available for purchase on the public market, there is a threat to everyday citizen access in favor of corporate dominance. We will essentially compromise our most vital natural resources to foreign entities and the wealthy elite. Our nation was founded on land access for citizens and this proposal flies in the face of our American heritage. There are already too many regulatory mechanisms on place to accomplish what this proposal is supposed to facilitate. NACs are an unnecessary overreach and violation of the constitution. The globalist incursion on the American way of life has gone too far.
