I urge to SEC to reject the request for the creation of natural asset companies. These companies, per the petitioner’s website, seek “to protect, to grow, and to restore natural assets.” From what or whom? For what or whom? These companies would allow foreign actors to invest, raising concerns of foreign influence, control, and manipulation or American natural resources. Further, the ambiguous goals of the company make it ripe for corruption and manipulation, since their goals are undefined it will not be clear when they are in violation. I urge the SEC to reject this rule.
