Subject: File No. SR-NYSE-2023-09
From: Susan L. Parkhurst

I oppose the creation of Natural Asset Companies that will be used to sell off, and sell out, America. I do not want our country’s public lands, waters and even air sold to private interests obliged to preclude the productive use of such resources to the betterment of our society and the strengthening of our economy. I also reject the imposition of unconstitutional restrictions via such means on individual Americans’ property rights and other freedoms. My sentiments are further intensified by the prospect that those private interests may include hostile foreign powers like the Chinese Communist Party, Russia and Iran who may have their own reasons for wanting to lock down our hydrocarbon-based fuels, our minerals, forests, etc. I urge the Commission to extend the time available for comment on proposed Rule SR-NYSE-2023-09 or to reject it outright immediately. I did not write these comments but agree with them completely. This seems to be a blatant attempt at grabbing control of America's public lands (which comprise over 85% of Nevada's total land) and possibly private land, as well. I am also very concerned about some of America's avowed enemies, especially China (CCP) and Iran, being able, ultimately, to gain access to and control of America's land, to the detriment and security of America and its citizens. That would be a huge travesty. My late husband, a writer and miner who advocated tirelessly for small miners and prospectors as well as the natural resources industry and our public lands, fought to the end for the rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution – including the right to own property. He and all those who fought for America’s freedom and sovereignty, whether in the military or another capacity, deserve to have that worthy fight honored. I see the Natural Asset Companies proposal as a grave threat to America's sovereignty and American lives. Please stand for America and its sovereignty and security, above all other interests and considerations.
