Companies, whether domestic or foreign, should not be permitted to profit or benefit in any way from holding ecosystem rights to any private, federal, or state lands in anyway that withholds those lands from being used for productive economic activity. We do not, and cannot, know now what beneficial use might be made of these resources in the future, and it is not in the interests of the United States and its citizens to permit anyone, and most especially foreigners, to be able to restrict the use of those resources for the benefit of society as a whole. This idea is a recipe for disaster for our country and the world as a whole, and it should be rejected immediately and completely.
