I oppose the creation of Natural Asset Companies and do not want U.S. public lands, waters and air rights sold to private interests. These assets belong to the American citizen and taxpayer, and only through our consent as owners should anything be done, such as precluding the use of these resources for the betterment of our society, our country, our security and our economy. I submit this proposed action allows unconstitutional restrictions to be put in place by 'shareholders' who will not answer to the American people and who will be granted authority to usurp Americans' property rights and other freedoms by virtue of this rule change. It is absolutely disastrous to allow private interests let alone foreign entities or foreign gov'ts to control our assets and have the power to lock down our lands thereby denying the US citizen as the true stakeholder the decision or vote to use the resources on those lands whether it be minerals, forests, etc., for the betterment and security of our country or sell the lands back to private citizens or businesses. The Commission, as an agency serving the citizens of the US, should reject the proposed rule change outright and do so now.
