I write to urge you to stop this Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) proposal creating a terrible new type of company called a "natural asset company," which could buy up land to use natural processes, such as the generation of fresh air, to write off carbon emissions. I urge the Commission to extend the time available for comment on proposed Rule SR-NYSE-2023-09 or, better still, to reject it outright immediately. This so-called“natural asset company” could designate areas where it could dictate the use of land and thereby inhibit ranchers and farmers from growing food. Such a “natural asset company” controlling the very air and water of the Earth should be stopped from ever existing! Reject this proposal!
