I am urging you to vote against instituting this new rule. It is a gross misappropriation of public lands for the purpose of commoditizing/commercializing, then double-taxing Americans to access our natural resources. Additionally, the "carbon credits" proposed to offset the natural assets' use are merely a thinly-veiled profiteering scheme put in place to enrich key political cronies, in the same way "carbon offsets" did for the energy industry. At best, these schemes are ineffectual solutions. Again, I am urging you to abandon this proposed rule with prejudice, such that we do not need to waste more time and money reevaluating it. Thank you.
