To the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: I, along with many other US citizens, am deeply concerned about the rules change that would allow National parks, State Parks, Conservation lands, and even farmlands to be listed as NACs (Natural Asset Companies) on the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange). Proponents of this change write on their website about how these lands could be beautified and improved by this arrangement. However, what is not mentioned on the website is that these lands, if they end up on NYSE, could be sold to the highest bidder, and that includes the CCP, and other nations/entities that are enemies of the United States. This would put the security of our nation in grave danger by giving our enemies a foothold within our borders from which to work. The NYSE facilitates the buying and trading of assets but does not control who in the world may buy them, or how they must be used. Our National Parks, State Parks, and Conservation lands have conservation laws that protect these lands and their natural resources from abuse/misuse. Putting them on the NYSE as NACs would, contrary to what is being claimed, put these lands at risk by taking them out from under these current protections. In light of all these considerations, I urge you NOT to go forward with creating these Natural Asset Companies! Please do the right thing and maintain the current protections of the priceless public lands owned by the citizens of the United States.
