I write in opposition to Natural Asset Companies being created and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. There is no evidence in my opinion that NAC's on the NYSE will solve climate change. In fact there is no guarantee how land acquired by Chinese, Russian, or Saudi wealth funds will be used. The NAC proposal risks productive use of privately owned U.S. land by property owners who farm, graze and extract energy. Also, what about the economic, esthetic and protected species of our public parks, national and state, which could be bought up by foreign wealth funds? We need to protect our private and public lands as best we can with existing land-acquisition laws without creating a new class of NAC's. Please do not risk our mineral-rich lands for foreign profits. Thank-you for your consideration.
