Subject: File No. SR-NYSE-2023-09
From: James Doebbler

I am writing to express my concerns and opposition to the proposed Natural Asset Companies (NACs) listing rule by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). I believe that this proposed rule, if implemented, could have significant negative consequences for the environment and local communities. Primarily, my concern is that our valuable natural resources will not be respected in appreciation with their local surroundings (the environment and local communities). The proposed rule encourages short-term exploitation of these resources for profit as well as centralization of policy and control outside the local areas. I believe both of these aspects will result in detriment to the management of our natural resources and to their local communities. In light of these concerns, I request the SEC reject the proposed rule and take steps to ensure that natural resources and the environment are managed in a sustainable manner with distributed/localized control. I hope that you take these concerns into account when reviewing the proposed rule and making your decision.
