I OPPOSE the SEC's plan to allow the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to list Natural Asset Companies (NACs) as a new type of company for public investment. Through this bureaucratic land grab, our nation's natural resources, ranch land, farm land and forest will be permanently lock them away from Americans' enjoyment and productive economic activity to advance the NACs control over any enrolled lands, and then forever prevent resource extraction, farming, and other critical economic activity. The SEC's plan is just another way to empower climate activists to thwart the private market’s ability to allocate capital and resources for the use of local communities, and for Americans pursuit of happiness as a whole.
