As a retail investor I have not been able to gain access to ipos except for Robinhoods new attempt to give us access. We are left to always purchase spacs after they are listed thus denying us access to the warrants that should be ours. As a whole we get the worse end of the deal. Big institutions dump post ipo shares of companies and spacs on us. We want to actively participate but the field isnt even. This is a great way for us to participate at the floor level without locking up our capital as well as force the sponsor to find an attractive company since we will have the option to opt out and we didnt waste time locking our money up in a dud merger.
