I am against this proposal.
I am a 40 year old male. I have always paid my taxes, my bills, child support. I have made mistakes but I have always been a great dad. I have my kids half the time. I cannot afford an attorney to help me change, lower or remove my child support payments even though I have a standard custody order but actually have them half the time.
My last job I was there almost 16 years. It wasnt the best paying job but was not too stressful. It allowed me flexibility to still pick up kids from school and take them every day that they are with me even tho its a good 40 minute drive each way since their school is a different school district.
Every morning I am grateful for being alive, and always wish nothing but happiness for everyone. People I would see on the drive there, people at the store, the man buying a lottery ticket in front of me. So many times I have thought to myself \"this person deserves it, I hope he wins\". I understand I am not any more special than anyone else.
We are all just people trying to survive. I have had the same car for 16 years. It runs good but broke down recently. My kids are older and bigger. They ask me why I dont get another car. I cant tell them I cant afford it, so I tell them i like that car.
My car is broken down right now. Its almost going on 3 weeks. I am trying to borrow money to get it repaired. I lost my job due to covid and havent found anything half decent that would allow me to keep a flexible schedule. I am venting right now because I am going through a rough time.
Please allow a free and fair market for everyone including retail investors. We deserve an opportunity. You, whoever is reading this, you deserve it too. Your family, your kids, your loved one, your friends all deserve it. I know this is not the type of comment you are expecting but I just want you to know retail investors are real people with real feelings, real pain, real situations, all in our own unique world.
I have never stolen anything from anyone, I have never robbed, I have never tried to defraud anyone. I have gotten random payments on cashapp that I know were sent by mistake to me and I promptly refund them back without hesitation. That is the kind of person I am and that is the kind of person I want my kids to be.
Please do not allow any more fraud, market abuse, manipulation to continue. I hope you have a blessed day.
