Keeping the US economy from blowing up because a few knuckleheads made some bad bets is admirable in principle. However, though there will be losers when "fire sales" occur as a result of these reckless gambles, let us not forget that there will be winners too. The SEC has no business putting its thumb on the scale. I respectfully urge you to scrap this terrible proposal.
