To pass this proposal would mean an unfair marketplace. I cannot in good conscience invest in a marketplace where the odds are stacked against retail investors. Those that made bad bets must pay the price. Laundering illegal naked shorts serves very few, and discounts the rest of investors, rocking faith in the markets. With alternative markets in place already, if retail leaves the stock market due to lack of trust that the odds are fair, it will hurt our economy much more than a few bad actors making poor bets. And retail traders will leave en Masse since we already have extremely little faith in our systems, everywhere we look we see two Americas, one for the rich and one for everyone else.
