I strongly believe in and support the new rule. It lends to a greater degree of accountability and transparency in the US markets. This new rule will allow the DTCC to preform its self regulator functions more effectively which adds to the overall health of the market.
I am in my mid 30's and a newer investor but thanks to outlets like reddit, myself and others are learning fast and realizing how important the outcome of something like this is.
