Markets operate most successfully when all participants have an understanding of other market participant's positions.
I am small retail investor with $200,000 invested in stocks and mutual funds, primarily to secure retirement but also to provide speculative short-term income. The due diligence that I conduct is incomparable to the understanding that larger hedgefunds and other institutional players have about other market participants. Implementing SR-NSCC-2021 will help investors of any size understand more about the market and its participants and provide for a more level playing field.
