Dear Sir or Madam, I am an individual retail investor and I would like to express my opinion on the new proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. If this rule would be enacted I think it would be a step in the right direction in terms of accountability for those individuals who engage in short selling and stock borrowing. It is time for an update to the current RegSHO closeout requirements and I believe that the proposed change in process from monthly to daily settlement is progress. I would appreciate to see this rule passed and implemented promptly. Lastly I would like to emphasize that I am for stronger penalties for non compliance and violation of this rule.
