To whom it may concern, I would like to take the opportunity to support the implementation of newly-proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. It is my opinion that this rule would be a welcome progression towards accountability for those who engage in the short selling/stock borrowing program. It is time for an update to the current RegSHO closeout requirements and I believe that the SLD adjustment from Monthly to Daily settlement can only improve the workings of the market for all investors. I would like to see this rule passed and implemented immediately, along with stronger and more rigorously-enforced penalties enacted for non compliance and violation of the regulation.
