I am an individual retail investor and would like to express my opinion regarding the new proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. I believe this rule could increase accountability for those who work with lenders to secure strategic short positions. The current RegSHO closeout requirements need to be brought in line with our modern day systems and sensibilities, and I believe that this SLD change in process from monthly to daily settlement moves us closer to that goal. I would like to see this rule passed and implemented without delay. Lastly on this ruling, I would like to see consistent, harsher penalties enacted for those who violate this rule.
