I am a single retail investor and would like to express my opinion regarding this new proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. I believe this rule - if enforced - is a step in the right direction towards accountability for those who engage in the short selling / securities lending program. The time has come for an update to RegSHO's current closing requirements and I believe this ongoing SLD change from monthly to daily settlement is progress. I would like this rule to be approved and implemented immediately. Finally, on this ruling, I would like to see more severe sanctions be enacted for non-compliance with and violation of this rule.
