I disagree with this proposed rule change. The option for over leveraged hedgefunds to delay lenders liquidating collateral to purchase the owed securities in the event of default is just another way to let so called market makers off the hook for bad judgment calls, which ultimately causes problems for taxpayers and retail investors every single time. This is a bad idea, and will only further support corruption in our stock exchange. A person who defaults on their home-loan does not get to delay the bank's seizure of the collateral home to cover the costs, so why should corporations be given that option?
