Please accept this letter of support of the purchase of the CHX by the Casin Group and partners. As a birth citizen of the US and former CEO of a US publicly-held company , I am entirely favorable of the proposed transaction. United States citizens and their corporations are the largest group of international investors in the world, holding stakes in major strategic assets in many countries. I firmly believe the proposed purchase will provide a unique and exceedingly valuable window to major cross-border investment between the world's largest economies. As you well know, the continual scrutiny of the US financial system is both essential and firmly in place. I believe therefore that all the controls necessary to monitor the investment group exist now and will be sufficient. I have seen the track record of Casin regarding their foreign investments as ethical and successful. I have no doubt this will be true for this particular asset. Therefore, I do not hesitate whatsoever in my support of Casin and their partners as controlling investors in CHX.
