Of course, this comment period is completely pointless. None of these comments will be considered, as the decision is just fully at the whim of how Gary Gensler feels about crypto. And he doesn't see the point of it.
He publicly said on CNBC last month that \"We already have digital currencies\", it is clear that he is not in fact technology neutral, like he claims. He will continue to block their distribution channels through items like ETFs.
Of course, eventually he or his successor will reverse course, and probably claim that the market has matured since these applications, which will not be the real reason. It will just eventually become politically untenable to reject the ETFs any longer.
