There are risks involved in bitcoin investment. Handling, trasferring, and storing bitcoin require caution and must be done in proper manner, for some mistakes are irrevereable. There may be hacks at the exchanges, which may not protect the investors. Investing through ETF will give the layer of security, that SEC is endorsing. Investors won't have to worry about holding bitcoins, just like when investing in gold, you don't physically hold the gold bars.
