Dear Committee Members
As a public institution who has several volunteer boards, we are deeply concerned about the proposed rule changes. We could not achieve what we do without our volunteer boards and would be severally hampered in recruiting volunteers for our boards if this proposed rule goes into effect as currently stated. We ask that you consider the unintended consequences this rule would have on volunteer boards of public institutions, of charities, and churches. Please reconsider the wording of the rule in light of the impact this would have on all of us who are dependent on volunteer board members. Thank you.
