Dear SEC Commissioners,

Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.

My Comment:

It's time that we stop hiding imperialism under the words "trade", "capitalism", and "globalization". There is nothing democratic about corporate lobbyists using monetary incentives to influence the law and oppress the weak. Government leadership is more than a job, it's a duty. It's time that governments start living up to their duty, which is to act in the best interest of ALL citizens. When justice and honor are defended, everyone benefits -- from the poor to the rich. Do what is just and honorable, act in the best interest of all, and fulfill your duty.
