Dear SEC Commissioners,
Please do not give in to industry pressures on Section 1504 of the Dodd-Frank Act (the Cardin-Lugar Amendment) - and make sure that ALL companies are covered, every country and every project gets reported, and loopholes that would allow large sums of money to go unreported are closed.
My Comment:
It is un-ethical to leverage a corrupt government for profits that otherwise would not exist. It cheats the victim nation out of improvements to quality of life and tarnishes the American ideal. Victims do not see the separation between business and government. They don't become bitter with a company. They become bitter with Americans. Transparency protects our political investments.
