Now is the time to enact a sturdy Volcker Rule.
When enforced, it will secure one of the moderate system fixes the public is clamoring for to stop the big banks from crashing the economy again:
Banning federal subsidies to bankers gambling taxpayer money in high-stake risks.
I'm one who judges that's a good idea.
