Speaking as a recently retired person, I am urging you to not make any changes in the current regulations concerning the Mortgage Real Estate Investment Trusts. My wife and I are living on our Social Security income plus the quarterly distribution that we get from our modest mREITs investment. Since we no longer get a cost of living increase in our yearly Social Security benefits, we really need the distribution income from our mREITs to live on.
