mREITS are the last segment of stocks showing any kind of return in my retirement portfolio. If the tax status is changed it will eliminate income that I will need to live on. I will have to rely on Social security. I have worked hard and saved only to see stock values plummet, and bond returns disappear. This segment is my last hope for income. Don't pull the rug from under my retirement
