Derivatives are now part of the everyday toolkit employed by asset managers to mitigate risks and to assume exposures in the most efficient and least costly manner for fund shareholders. Actions the Commission takes to restrict derivative use will likely increase both the costs and the risks borne by the very retail investors it purports to protect.
Please do not fall victim to uninformed political rhetoric and deny investors the superior returns available from investment managers employing the complete modern investment management toolkit.
