March 19, 2023 There is no place in equitable markets for Alternative Trading Systems (ATS) or PFOF. Extending the rules in place to protect markets to all exchanges is imperative in creating fair markets. Transparency is crucial + SROs have proven they will disregard risk management/safeguards/laws. PFOF is banned in so many places because its clear that wholesalers abuse the order flow to steal profit from household investors. This manipulative practice has no place in markets as it results in demonstrably worse outcomes for the people.
