January 19, 2023 Dear SEC, I am writing to express my strong support for the proposed Regulation Best Execution. I believe that this regulation is essential to ensure that investors receive the best possible prices for their securities transactions and that markets function in a fair and efficient manner. The proposed regulation would require broker-dealers to take steps to ensure that their customers' orders are executed at the best possible price, including obtaining the most favorable terms for a customer's transaction such as price, speed and likelihood of execution. This will help to protect investors by ensuring that they receive the best possible prices for their securities transactions and will promote fair and efficient markets by encouraging competition among market participants. Furthermore, the proposed regulation would also require broker-dealers to have in place policies and procedures that are reasonably designed to achieve best execution and to review and update these policies and procedures periodically. This will ensure that broker-dealers are held accountable for their obligations to obtain the best possible prices for their customers and will help to promote a culture of compliance within the industry. In addition, this regulation would also require broker-dealers to take into account the relative value of different trading venues when executing customer orders, and make sure that the execution takes place on the trading venue that is most likely to provide the best execution terms. This would help to ensure that investors have access to the best possible prices regardless of the trading venue they use. In conclusion, I strongly support the proposed Regulation Best Execution. It would provide investors with important protections and promote fair and efficient markets by ensuring that broker-dealers take steps to execute customer orders at the best possible price.
