January 10, 2023 As a retail trader, I am in favor of this rule. The execution of trades has changed dramatically since the original implementation of rule 605, and this proposal is a good first step toward modernizing implementation of the rule. Currently, retail traders do not have good data about whether brokerages are doing a good job, compared to their peers, of executing retail orders. This proposal would give retail traders a better sense of whether their chosen brokerage is getting them the best value on their trades.
