December 27, 2022 SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION 17 CFR Parts 240, 242 Release No. 34-96496 File No. S7-32-22 RIN 3235-AN24 Regulation Best Execution I believe this rule will help retail investors buy shares in the lit markets (exchanges such as IEX) which will in turn based on the size of the order increase the value of their investment and help avoid them being routed off exchanges. whilst these are not to be compulsory as mentioned by the SEC, I am hoping there are regular reviews and checks for both traditional brokers (offered by banks) and online brokerage firms (such as etoro) to see if they have a best execution policy, and how well they follow their own procedures. Thank you for taking the time to make rules that benefit retail investors that mostly use brokers for their investment accounts.
