December 27, 2022 As a 'standard' retail investor, I'm hopeful that these set of rules make an impact. It is extremely disheartening to see the state of our markets at this point. Not simply because of the overall downturn, but it is simply being manipulated by a few market makers. The fact that these market makers can create shares and also run a hedge fund on the side is comical. I believe this is what got FTX in trouble, but apparently 1 to 1 leverage isn't required on the 'stock' side only on the crypto side. As of right now, as I age, and if the course doesn't change, I will simply not be putting money into the stock market and will move to a multitude of different investment opportunities. Not trying to be too negative, I'd prefer to invest in US companies in a US exchange, but I have no interest in fighting against 'market makers'.
